Who May Join and How?

The Ace Community Credit Union was originally organized to serve the Ames City Employees exclusively. AceCCU has evolved and grown to include a much broader "field of membership." Our current membership includes:

  • Persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in Story or the contiguous counties of Hamilton, Hardin, Marshall, Jasper, Polk, and Boone.
  • Profit or nonprofit corporations, organizations, partnerships, institutions, associations, or other business entities of any kind, whether or not incorporated, their subsidies, successors, affiliates and divisions, which have a place of business in Story or the contiguous counties.

In addition, over the years, various employers have asked that the credit union advantage be extended to their employees. AceCCU has been happy to include the following businesses into our field of membership:

Not only the employees of the eligible businesses and agencies may join AceCCU, but also family members such as:

  • Spouse
  • Children
  • Parents of employee and/or spouse
  • Grandparents of employee and/or spouse
  • Grandchildren of employee and/or spouse
  • Brothers or sisters of employee and/or spouse

AceCCU also allows members who no longer work for an eligible business or agency to remain a member of the credit union.

To become a member of AceCCU and enjoy the benefits, simply stop by the credit office and complete a membership application form and deposit $10.00 into your new share savings account. You are then eligible to use all the credit union services.

If you are a member and have had a positive - or negative - experience at AceCCU that you would like to bring to our attention, you may fill out our Comment Card at the credit union or you may submit a Comment Form from your browser. All comments will be read and all concerns will be addressed and a response returned.
