Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives that conduct business for the mutual benefit and general welfare of their member-owners. Banks are for-profit financial corporations who conduct business to maximize the price of its stock and profit for stockholders.
To open an account at Ace CCU all you need is a valid government issued photo ID and proof of your current address.
To change your address you can stop into the credit union and fill out the change of address form or you can fax or mail a note containing your new address and your signature. If you choose to mail or fax us you must have the note notarized.
To avoid any extra charges when using your ATM card look for an ATM machine with the"Privileged Status" sign. ![]()
Card services will automatically send you a new debit card in the mail around the 15th of the month. The envelope will look a lot like junk mail so keep an eye out if you know you should be getting a new card.
You only need to notify the credit union if you will be using your debit card during your travels.
To remove someone from your account you must fill out a joint owner removal form signed by both you and the person you wish to remove. If you are mailing the form back to the credit union it must be notartized before we can accept it.
To close your account you can stop into the credit union and fill out the closed account form or you can fax or mail us a note containing the reason you are closing your account and your signature. If you choose to mail or fax us you must have the note notarized.
Ace CCU has 3x10, 5x10, and 10x10 safe deposit boxes. However, at this time there are only 3x10 and a couple 5x10 boxes available. Just a note: 3x10 boxes will fit the abstract for your home.
You can either call the credit union with a verbal verification or provide the credit union with a signature verification. Verbal verifications are valid for up to 14 days and signature verifications are valid for up to 6 months. To put a stop pay on any check or ACH there is a $5.35 fee.
In order to send or receive a wire the credit union must first have a signature and the wiring information. Any wires after that can be sent or received with a simple phone call. Ace CCU has chosen to change wire through institutions so our wire instructions have changed. The new wire instructions are as follows:
